Please remember to use the Editor account before making any template changes
Second you must have all ready a template you can edit.
If you have not done this please read HOWTODOIT
Ok all that done you now goto Your admin panel --- 3. Styles --- Portal Settings
You will now see a screen that looks like this
If you do not already see a portal named FLASH then (if you do then goto Step 6)
1.Click on the Blank box icon that looks like this 
Now you see a screen like this
2.Add FLASH to the name
3.And then what you want in the Title.
4. Click Create New Portal
5. Now goto admin panel --- 3. Styles --- Edit Templates/Logos -- the template you wish to edit (EG myff_howtodoit1)--- Submit
Now look at the bottom in the area marked Choose Portal template File to Edit use the drop down bar and find[/b]
cms_flash.tpl
Now copy this code into that file

6.2 things you need to edit are the YOUR TITLE HERE and the YOUR URL HERE
YOUR TITLE HERE is what the portal box will be called.
YOUR URL HERE is where you must place the url or address of the flash item you wish to use.
Ok now you need to place {MYFF.FLASH} next to your other portals so it maybe in your overall_header.tpl, or overall_footer.tpl or where ever you wish to place it.
Now goto admin panel -- general admin --- configuration and find Allowed HTML tags Separate tags with commas if embed is not already in that list then you must add ,embed also check the box above and make sure Allow HTML is set to yes.
It is worth noting that members and guest must have flash player installed on their computers for them to be able to view such materials. [b]Members must have allow html tags on in their profile
