To Make A Welcome Text Line Like I have On This Site Is Very Simple This Is HOWTODOIT
Please remember to use the Editor account before making any template changes
Second you must have all ready a template you can edit.
If you have not done this please read HOWTODOIT
Ok all that done you now goto Your Admin Panel --Styles Admin--Edit Templates/Logos
Now open up the template you wish to edit.
Ok now you need to find overall_header.tpl
Ok now place the macro where you want it to appear the macro for this is so you can just add where you want it to appear.
If you want to welcome them more then you can add a welcome message like below
| Code: | | Welcome To HOWTODOIT I Hope You Enjoy Your Stay "{USERNAME}" |
If you would like it like i have as bold then i used the standard header tag of of course you can change this to be one more suited to your forum.
So my finished code in my overall_header.tpl looks like this (remember not all template codes are the same so my code may look different to yours) I placed my code straight after my logo code.
